How to check if your Labubu is Authentic

If you’ve just bought a Labubu or any POP MART collectible, you’ll find a small QR code and a silver scratch panel on the box. These are there to help you confirm that your item is 100% genuine.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through the exact steps to verify your Labubu using POP MART’s official authenticity system.

1. Locate the QR Code and Scratch Panel

Every authentic Labubu blind box comes with an official POP MART QR code and a silver scratch label, usually found on the outer packaging.

You should see:

  • A square POP MART QR code

  • A small scratch-off strip underneath or beside it

This scratch code is your collectible’s unique identification number.

2. Scratch the Panel Carefully

Use a coin or your fingernail to gently remove the silver layer.
Underneath, you’ll reveal a series of digits — this is your verification code.

Be careful not to scratch too hard, as damaging the numbers can make verification difficult.

3. Open the Official POP MART Verification Page

You can verify your Labubu in two ways:

Option A — Scan the QR Code

  • Open your phone’s Camera

  • Scan the POP MART QR code

  • Tap the link that appears
    This will take you directly to POP MART’s authenticity page.

Option B — Visit the Verification Website Manually

If the QR doesn’t scan, open your browser and go to the official POP MART QR Verify page.
Here, you’ll be able to enter the code manually.

4. Enter the Scratch Code

Once the page loads:

  • You’ll either see a box to type in your code, or

  • The system may auto-detect your code after scanning

Double-check the digits and confirm to verify.

5. Check the Result

POP MART will immediately show the authenticity result:

✔ Genuine / Verified

Your Labubu is confirmed authentic.

⚠ Checked Before

The code has been entered previously.
This can happen if:

  • The store checked authenticity before selling, or

  • Someone re-verified a code they already scratched open
    It doesn't always mean fake — but it’s worth noting.

❌ Invalid or Error

If the site cannot recognise the number, re-enter it carefully.
If it still fails, the item may be counterfeit or the code may be damaged.
